Norooz

Hello everyone!

So I'm back in Sweden now, right in time for Norooz.
Had my cousins come over to celebrate it with us which was nice.
We had some really nice food that my mum made for us.
Other than that we havn't really done much today,
so I'm just gonna leave it at that and show you some pictures of our Haft-sin.

Spotlight 1

I havn't got much new to say. Still working out, still eating healthy.
I don't really have much to say so I thought I'd spotlight
some peoples blogs that I enjoy reading. I will be doing this once
a week and the people aren't spotlighted in any particular order.

She's not your ordinary girl and by that I mean she is so much more!
She's open, honest, funny, geeky and comes of as very positive and true.
She has an incredible passion for cooking and she's terrific at it!
She runs her own site where she has her personal blog and a food blog.

It's absolutely amazing.

In Vanessas blog you can find her:
Ideas and tips ,sharing recipes, veggie friendly foods,
baking, doing international foods, sweets,
easy-to-follow walkthroughs and lots of amazing pictures.

Everytime I visit her blog I wish I could put my hand right

One of the first things
I noticed in Guernsey was that
in Guernsey they don't number
their houses like we do in Sweden.
Instead they give their house a name. According to Jesse
(not the best source to be honest)
you're allowed to name it pretty much anything you want. Most houses that I've seen though, are named in french.

The last 3 days we've been staying at Tom's house "La cour de longue".
It's been alot of fun. Morningwalks have been absolutely amazing
because Tom's house isn't located right next to the beach, so it's not
as windy and cold walking like it is when we're here at Jesse's place.

The only "bad" thing about going to Tom's house is that his mother Anne
cooks the most lovely, delicious, amazing, wonderful, super-duper tasty food.
Which is completely AWESOME and THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD....
..... unless..... you are on a strict (ultra-gay) diet and can't eat any of it.
Like we are, right now.

So yeah, that was quite painful.
But instead of being all sad about it, I try to see it from a positive view.

"If I can resist Anne's food, then no food will be able to stop me"
- Superhero trololol

Besides, we go there quite often and I'm not gonna be on this diet forever.

Back in Guernsey

So after a long day of travelling, I'm finally back in Guernsey.

I'm usually fine with flying/travelling for long periods of time.
Not yesterday apparantly. I couldn't stop sweating,
I felt like I was about to be sick every hour or so, it was terrible.
When Josefine came to hang out with me in London, Gatwick,
I felt a tiny bit better. But it was still there, I don't even know why.
Just constantly felt ill, stressed and sweaty. It seriously wouldn't stop.

Eventually I arrived. Thank god.
Was nice to grab a shower and cuddle with Jesse until I fell asleep.
I woke up in the middle of the night. (We have quite a big bed and
Jesse sleeps next to the wall, most of the times.) For some reason,
I was literally pushing myself as hard as I could against him, totally
mashing him up against the wall. Poor Jesse.

Today we've been eating lots of unhealthy stuff.
Tomorrow we're starting some kind of hardcore diet.
I eat anything I'm served whenever I'm served so it wont be hard for me.
We'll be going for morningwalks here everyday, starting tomorrow.
We'll be walking from Jesse's house up to the fairy ring and back.
Then later in the day we go to gym as usual.

My Paks and Cuts has arrived aswell, will be taking a pak every other day.
Will start with the Cuts when I'm back home. (The 16th).
I wonder if I'll see any results?
Hmm, I guess the harder I work the better my results. We'll see.

We went shopping today, was fun, I'll write more about it tomorrow!
This is getting looong and boring, just thought I'd give you all an update.
Time to brush my teeth and wash my face, Goodnight!

Gym & Poker

Last night I decided to try something new out.
I go to gym 5 days a week. Wednesday and Sunday are my days off (usually).
I feel like I'm working quite hard but I thought I'd raise the bar a little.
So now I'm gonna start getting up at 4-5 in the morning (gym opens at 5),
drink only a cup of coffe and go to the gym, doing a 45-60min brisk walk on an empty stomach. Go home, shower and eat a nice breakfast. Do what I usually do during the day and then later go gym again and do what I'm supposed to do when I'm there. (I guess I made this more complicated than it is) All that I'm adding really is a morning workout. Haha. There we go. Easy.

Today was my first day doing that. I got up at 4 - my dog was standing on me squeeking because he had a bad stomach and had to go out, that poor thing. I couldn't go back to sleep, so I decided to go to gym as soon as they opened. Drank a cup of coffe before I went and got absolutely hyper. (I'm not a coffe drinker, so it has quite an effect on me.) I did a 60minute workout and it felt amazing. I was all alone in the gym, so that meant I could sing lots of songs, which I did and it was fun. Heh. Went home and I was still ridiculously hyper and it started to become quite annoying because all I wanted to do was chill the f**k out but that was the last thing I could do because my head was just in some crazy max-mode going "UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ".

It's calmer now though which is good, but still a bit stizzy and sharp.

Also, I closed all my poker accounts quite a while ago, I forgot to mention that. They can be accessed again in April, but I think I will shut them down again once they are open, just for a few months. It's for the best. I really have some sort of gambling addiction when it comes to playing PLO HU. I love live poker though, we're gonna play some when we're in Egypt, it's gonna be so much fun playing against Jesse live. Gotta work on my pokerface for PCA 2012!

This post feels quite messy, I blame the coffe. Have a nice day!

Also, I'm going back to Guernsey in a week.
Once I'm there I'll start updating regularly again. :) <3

First few days

I miss Guernsey.

Signed up at Sportlife here in Gothenburg, which is good.
It's my day off gym today. Hardly got any sleep last night.
This morning UPS came knocking on my door!
My camera has arrived! (It took like 3 days.) I'm so happy.
Tomorrow I'll be going gym and then go search for a nice bag,
so I can carry it around safely. I'll also get one of those filters.
Probably a new memory card aswell with more space. Haha!
I'm so excited. I can't wait until I get to use it.

Expect alot of photos in the future, right here in the blog.~

Got to speak some with Sean today, he's in Australia and has
been there for a couple of months now. Time really is going so fast.
I know he'll be reading this so, Heya Sean! You're awesome.

I'm so tired and I miss my Jesse. I can't believe we seperated our donkeys.

Gonna spend some quality friend-time with Raj and Olivia now. bbl

Back in Sweden

Where to start.

Woke up the 8th of Feb in Guernsey.
Took a peak out of the window and saw nothing but mist.
I knew the chances of my flight being delayed was quite high.

Did that bother me?
No. I did not want to go back.

We arrived at the airport around 11.
All flights before mine had been delayed.
Mine was not. Unlucky.

Guernsey's airport is quite small.
There are 4 or 5 gates in the lounge.
I passed the gate and boarded the plane,
cabin crew double checks my boarding card, everything is as usual.

We lift, we ride, view is beautiful...
but after 5 minutes something strikes me as odd.
We're flying extremely close to the sea level. It's not how we usually fly there..
Something was wrong. Really wrong.

I felt uneasy, I kept looking for signs to find out what was going on.
It had been more than 5 minutes now,
we should have been above the clouds a long time ago, but we were not.
The cabin crew were still sitting down, buckled up.
What was wrong with the freaking pilot? I thought..
"If he doesn't lift the plane higher now, I'm gonna die."
But he didn't. Instead, he decelerated.

At one point it felt like we were just standing still,
with nothing but water under us. Something definitely wasn't right.
What on earth was he doing? My mind kept repeating
"Fly back to Guernsey if something is wrong, we're not far away,
turn back, please turn back. Just turn back damnit. Freaking hell.
I'm gonna die or something, aren't I? Great."

Everyone else seemed calm though,
didn't they notice that something was strange?

Suddenly I see Jersey. (another Island close to Guernsey)

"Err...whaaaaat?"

Now I had 30 other thoughts striking my mind.

"Jersey? Are we landing in Jersey? Why? Wtf?
Omfg don't tell me I boarded the wrong plane??
I'm gonna miss my flight in London if we land here. SHIT!
Oh no.. we are heading towards the damn island,
what the fuck is going on? *Looks around*..
I'm such an idiot, how could I board the wrong flight?"

The flight to London Stansted had the same departure time as the Jersey one.
They had two seperate gates (which I would interpret as two different planes).
So maybe when I passed the gate, instead of taking the plane further ahead
I stepped out and boarded the Jersey flight?
Could that have been possible? But what about the cabin crew?
They did double check my ticket after all? Maybe she checked it wrong?
What a fucking newb if she did!

Usually if you fly with aurigny (the airline i flew with) and you have a transit in Jersey it takes several hours to go to London, so if I was landing in Jersey I was afraid I'd miss my flight in London. Then I'd be stuck in either Jersey or London.
Which I wasn't too happy about.

Anyhow. It was a super quick transit and it even said so in my email.
But somehow I had totally missed that and got worried for no reason, hahaha.
I felt incredibly stupid afterwards.
"Lol you thought you were gonna die. Hah!"

Anyway, I'm back in Sweden now.
Have quite many things to take care of, so will update more tonight.
